ABOUT ANNIE

Annie is a registered nurse with a dream. It began in 2000 when I knew I wanted to retire early in a place with clear blue waters where I could swim and snorkel, stay active and healthy, and have fun. As I searched the Caribbean for just the right spot, an idea of a way to support the dream began to take shape. I wanted to find an unspoiled spot, where I could have a hospitality business where I could earn money doing things I enjoy; taking people on adventures in paradise-fishing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, bird watching, and just RELAXING…..When I found Panama, I knew this was home… fantastically beautiful, great fishing, no hurricanes, modern infrastructure and health care, safe, stable democratic government, they even use the US dollar as a currency base.

In 2004, I bought Annie’s Place and began the work of making it comfortable for me and my future guests. I worked half the time in the U.S. as a travelling nurse to finance the project. The rest of the year I worked on the house, worked at improving my Spanish, and enjoyed Panama. I hope I’ve created a relaxing environment with lots of choices for nature based entertainment, at a price that’s affordable.
